The Consortium for Research on Language Policy and Practice (CRLPP)’s specific objectives include the following:
- To conduct research on language policy and language-in-education policy formulation, policy implementation, classroom practices, bilingual and multilingual development, identity in interaction and language use in social contexts;
- To contribute to the integration of theory and practice, in particular the translation of theories and research findings into contextually sensitive and culturally responsive praxis;
- To disseminate research findings to stakeholders, including policy makers, practitioners and various communities;
- To set up research projects and programmes to attract PhD students, post-doctoral research fellows and scholars;
- To engage policy makers to make an impact on policy making and implementation.
